Do You Need a Visa?

Visa requirements for entering Thailand vary depending on your nationality. Citizens of many countries are eligible for visa exemption or visa-on-arrival, while others are required to obtain a visa before traveling.

Please check the official website of the Royal Thai Embassy or the Thailand e-Visa portal to confirm the visa requirements based on your nationality:

Visa Types

Thailand offers several visa options depending on the purpose and duration of your stay. Conference participants typically travel under one of the following:

  • Visa Exemption – Citizens of eligible countries may enter Thailand without a visa for the permitted duration, subject to current immigration regulations.
  • Visa on Arrival (VoA) – Available to eligible nationalities for short-term visits, subject to the latest entry requirements.
  • Tourist Visa (TR) – Intended for visitors traveling for tourism or short-term purposes, including attending conferences. It is generally issued as a single-entry visa and allows a stay according to the conditions specified by the Thai authorities.
  • e-Visa – Applicants from eligible countries can apply online through Thailand’s official e-Visa system before departure.

As visa policies may change, please refer to the official Thai government websites for the most up-to-date information.
